Yes today was the Academic Decathlon Super Quiz competition. Be prepared for a long entry because I am going to write my daily journal entry here so that I do not have to write anything twice! So SupperQuiz, Music, and Lang Lit tests didnt seem that hard. And since the day was all test taking lets skip right to what really matters: scores. But quickly before that! Rebecca, Jamie, and Carissa ROCK because they cam and watched the big SuperQuiz match with me! Yay them! Anyway: results! Well Bullard got fourth this year. A very depressing first. Hallmark Charter beat us by only 600 POINTS! if only every person on team 1 had gotten 100 extra point we could have gotten third!!! thats only 5 questions a person!!! o well. but we imrpived the overall score from last year. last year was 39 thousand something. this year was 42,900! which would have been great if it was LAST YEARS SCORE! ugh.... Edison (got first again.... grr..... i'll kill them all in thier sleep. not really!) got a freakish 48,000. WTF? that is disgusting. but we got third in overall superquiz. so yay for that even if its only a part of the total score. and more good news. we places in every event! at least one person! poor laura and galyean though. they didnt get any metals (not including the ones that the whole team gets for like superquiz and all that). Now my personal results! Both the good and bad - i scored higher than some people on team 1. I KNOW!!! crazy! and i havent been studying that much either. maybe i'm just a really good geusser. math i got like a 350 and speech i went down by about 20 points from last year (this year i got 893). but! BUT!!!! i went up about 40 points on interview and got 953! i also got a 730 on my essay! which means the judges are F****ing insane because that was one of the worst essays i have ever written! everything else was in the 600s. and OMG one of the 3 people who tied for speech was.... very mediocer. I'm sorry! but her speech was on breathing. BREATHING! and her style was kind of.... it wasnt bad, but it was not appropriate for her topic. but the other 2 guys were good. the last one especially. he talked about why its cheaper to be male. i know sounds dumb, but his speech was soooooooo well written and he presented it in a VERY entertaing way. and then there was the coach "awards" which is basically every coach just getting a little plaque. i think bullard definetly cheered the loudest for thier coach. go oli! and when he came off the stage we all ran up and gave him a groups hug. even team 2 and 3 ( GO TEAM 3!!!! which was me, robert, and melissa). and that was funny because he hates being touched. and robert got a PERFECT speech score! 1000!!!!! if he had been on team 1 he would have been the highest scoring speech! and gotten an award. because the 3 first place speeches were all tied at like... 996 or 997. that would have been cool. so i think thats it. except that i sat next to david during the awards and i think we are buddies now because we talked and confirmed for the entirety of the awards ceremony. but thats it..... i think i will go to bed now. this weekend is not going to be at ALL relaxing because my day was LONG and tomorrow i have to do german homework, write the german essay, and got started on F***ing scholarships because i promised my parents i would do that this weekend because I have kinda been putting it off. |
